Your donation goes toward trauma-informed coaching efforts, further music production with Black Bird Collective, and 10% of your donation goes back to human-trafficking relief organizations: The Genesis Project and Unbound Now

Why Donate? 

Because the best way to teach is by example. And the best way to heal trauma is to expose it to the light.

This fundraiser helps other survivors identify with their experiences. A requirement and the fundamental step to the healing process, is the ability to simply name the experience for what it was. It shows survivors the power of vulnerability, and the reclaiming of self-agency. When funds are raised around the experiences themselves, it diminishes the hold trauma has on the survivor, and transmutes those experiences into stepping stones to move forward. 

Anything swept under the rug remains a problem never addressed, causing dysfunction to rule. Which is where the fundraiser shows others how to shed light on the reality of their experiences. The higher the number grows, the more validity survivors receive, the more the darkness around past traumatic experience, guilt and shame, is snuffed out. 

This fundraiser also helps those outside of trauma, understand the life-threatening and nature-altering impacts of unresolved trauma. Trauma by definition is not something humans are made to survive, and it is something that alters our human nature. With any habit, we can build a tolerance for it to continue, which is why trauma needs to be exposed and dealt with immediately when it happens. The longer it stays in the system, the stronger the neural-wiring becomes. When you donate to this fundraiser, you encourage other survivors to set themselves free. Whatever amount you give comes back to you, multiplied.
