The Power of Mary
May 06, 2026An entirely optional thing that you can do in this world is expand your intelligence, spirituality and higher consciousness. The irony around this though, is that the higher you “ascend” you run the risk of getting further from world-based, tangible ascension. While drawing near to God is essential, you’re still on this earth where your life and survival depend on the tangible: income, housing, food, relationships, etc. God always provides, but the result of His provision depends on your following the cue and taking action. A way to think of this balancing act, is remembering Moses coming down from Mount Carmel, returning to the people after spending much time in close proximity to God. He had to hide is face for some time around every one else because of the effects that time and proximity to God had on a human. In short, drawing near to God separates you from humanity, when we’re designed to be connected to one another. That’s where the need for balance is. And believe it or not, this is where addictions can manifest for those of us who have experienced religious trauma. If you want to check yourself before you wreck yourself just ask this: are my feet on the ground, or is my head in the clouds? Simply put: you won’t run a marathon without your feet on the ground. In fact, you won’t even start.
So why not Mary? How did Mary come into such close proximity with God and not lose her mind? How did she carry God in human form for 9 months in her womb and remain contained herself as a human? How was it physically possible? Why didn't her womb glow like Moses' face? What I like to theorize, is that because it was a spontaneous pregnancy induced by the Holy Spirit, the degree of Godliness that was an embryo, a fetus, then an unborn infant, grew with Mary, and she with it. It wasn’t a flood rush of God within humanity, it was a progress of growth; a symbiotic relationship, where one does not progress without the other. Really what I think the miracle of this was, is the standard for life, growth, and progress. There was no trace of having to “earn” oneself. There was no trace of having to over-give, or bend over backwards for others. There was no trace of doing things you don’t want to do to prove your worth. There was no ego involved, aside from the slight course-correction for Joseph within the entire story's context.
When it came to Christ’s crucifixion 33 years later, Mary could handle it because she’d already amalgamated to the degree of godliness that had grown in her womb and merged with her body’s chemistry. She'd already been built for the outcome. It didn’t destroy her life because the word of God was already within her. Mary, throughout the entire lifetime of Christ on earth held a power that the Roman’s who killed Jesus could not fathom: She abandoned her ego to carry out her assignment. Joseph too — but Mary did it without question or hesitation. For those of you that may say, “So what, blindly submit?” Yes. If it’s the will of God, He will never do you wrong.
How do you know if it’s the will of God? God speaks clearly and directly, where His word is rooted in truth, and that truth builds a foundation of peace and trust. Here’s how you know it’s not: if it takes your feet off the ground and causes a balloon-head ego effect. When you further disconnect and isolate from others, and say, “I’m the exception.” The furthest Mary’s feet ever got off the ground was on a donkey riding to Bethlehem, unaware whether or not there would be a place for her to give birth. But that didn't stop her from having the donkey saddled up and sitting down.
In short: God will take care of every detail, when you accept the path. Stop letting your ego get in the way of it.
